Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor, checking: Notes

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 15 other vehicles, including the 2006 Volkswagen Golf, 2005 Volkswagen Jetta, 2005 Volkswagen Golf, 2004 Volkswagen Jetta, and 2004 Volkswagen Golf. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor signal is used by the control module to calculate the permissible injection quantity and to regulate Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR). The smaller the MAF sensor signal is, the smaller fuel may be injected.

NOTE: Use only gold-plated terminals when servicing terminals in harness connector of Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor.
