General Information
Cruise Control System functions are controlled by the Engine Control Module (ECM) -J623-. The cruise control switch -E45- inside the steering column switch operates the cruise control.
There are no additional components in the turn signal lever other than the cruise control switch.
Connector assignment on the cruise control switch, refer to CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH CONNECTOR ASSIGNMENTS .

Checking
-- Connect the VAS 5051B. Refer to VEHICLE DIAGNOSIS, TESTING AND INFORMATION SYSTEM, CONNECTING .
-- In VAS 5051B, select operating mode "Guided Fault Finding".
-- Using the Go to button, select "Functions/Component selection" and the following menu options in sequence:
- Powertrain
- Select the installed engine
- 01 - On Board Diagnostic (OBD) capable systems
- Motronic engine control module (gasoline engine)
- Diesel direct injection and preglow system (diesel)
- Electrical Components
- Cruise Control Switch
