Brake Pressure Switch: Service and Repair


Sender 1 for brake booster -G201-, removing and installing
The brake pressure sender can be found on the hydraulic control unit -1-.





^ The hydraulic unit -1- is turned 180° on the W8.

This work sequence is for all vehicles, except with W8 engine:
^ Unscrew coolant expansion tank -2- and place to one side with coolant hoses still connected.





This work sequence is for vehicles w/W8 engine:
^ Unscrew power steering reservoir -3- and place to one side with hoses still connected.





Continued for all vehicles
^ Pull connector -1- off brake pressure sensor -2-.
^ Place lint-free cloths under the control module and hydraulic unit.
^ Remove brake pressure sensor.

Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse sequence

Tightening torques:
Brake pressure sensor 20 Nm

Bleed brake system, Refer to Brakes and Traction Control, Brake Bleeding, Service and Repair
