Instrument cluster bulbs and sockets, identifying: Notes
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 27 other vehicles, including the 2002 Volkswagen Cabrio, 2001 Volkswagen Cabrio, 2000 Volkswagen Cabrio, 1999 Volkswagen Jetta, and 1999 Volkswagen Golf. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
CAUTION:
Before working on the electrical system:
- Obtain radio anti -theft code.
- Ignition OFF !
- Disconnect battery Ground (GND) strap.
NOTE:
After reconnecting battery:
- Activate vehicle equipment such as radio, clock and power windows as per Repair Manual and/or Owner's Manual.
- On vehicles equipped with OBD II, activate readiness code. Refer to READ MEASURING VALUE BLOCK (FUNCTION 08) .
NOTE:
- The instrument cluster should not be disassembled.
- For checking instrument cluster voltage supply, indicators and warning lights using VAG 1598 test box. Refer to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER VOLTAGE SUPPLY FOR INDICATORS AND WARNING LIGHTS, CHECKING WITH VAG 1598 TEST BOX .
