Release Rod Securing Knob

The following descriptions of removing and installing securing knob must always be observed.

If not observed, release rods can unscrew from door locks or damage mountings.

Right Door 

Removing 

-- Remove the securing knob 180° to the left.

-- Remove securing knob upward.

Installing 

-- Attach securing knob onto release rod with marking -small point on top side- toward vehicle side.

-- Press securing knob onto release rod only as far until corrugation is at height of door trim.

-- Then screw securing knob 180° to the left.

When locked, securing knob can be approx. 0 to 2 mm over door trim.

Left Door 

Removing 

-- Remove the securing knob 180° to the right.

-- Remove securing knob upward.

Installing 

-- Attach securing knob onto release rod with marking -small point on top side- toward vehicle side.

-- Press securing knob onto release rod only as far until corrugation is at height of door trim.

-- Then screw securing knob 180° to the right.

When locked, securing knob can be approx. 0 to 2 mm over door trim.
