Air Bag Control Module: Removal

  1. Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM . Air bag control module is located under center of instrument panel. See Figure.
  2. Remove trim panel. See Figure. Remove footwell vent housing. Press locking tab and swing connector lock to unlock position (opposite of arrow). Disconnect harness connector. Remove control module mounting nuts and remove module from vehicle.
