Battery Does Not Charge While Driving

  1. Ensure battery voltage is at least 12 volts. Disconnect Blue wire connector (double connector on Turbo Diesel engine equipped models), near starter, from clip and separate connector.
  2. Using a digital volt-ohmmeter in milliamp (mA) range, connect its leads in series with Blue wire connector. Ensure reading is 200 mA or more. If reading is lower than 200 mA, check Blue wire from alternator to instrument cluster for excessive resistance and/or replace the instrument cluster printed circuit board.
