Pump Pressure Test

  1. Install Pressure Gauge (VAG 1402 ) between pressure hose and pressure line of valve housing. See Fig 1 . Start engine and let it idle.
  2. Close pressure gauge valve. Leave valve closed for no longer than 5 seconds. Pressure should be 85-95 bar (1232-1378 psi). If pump pressure is not within specification, replace pump.
