Engine Identification

NOTE: This article applies to vehicle equipped with engine codes AAZ or 1Z.

Engine identification is stamped on cylinder block. See Fig 1 . In addition, the engine code and serial number are on a sticker on the timing belt cover. Also engine code is listed on vehicle data plate.
