- Locate thermoswitch on thermostat housing. Switch is identified by its Brown housing. Ensure switch closes and turns radiator cooling fan on high speed (third speed) when coolant temperature is greater than 234°F (112°C). Radiator cooling fan should go to medium speed when coolant temperature is less than 226°F (108°C).
- Ensure thermoswitch opens circuit to A/C compressor relay when coolant temperature is greater than 246°F (119°C). Thermoswitch will allow A/C compressor relay operation when coolant temperature is less than 234°F (112°C). Replace switch if it does not function as described.
