CONDITION

When performing service on the Engine Control Module (ECM) or its wiring harness, make sure that the harness is properly secured in order to avoid damage from windshield wiper operation. A damaged wiring harness could cause engine misfiring.

SERVICE

- Check for proper routing of wiring harness in plenum tray.

- Ensure that harness is properly secured in the retaining clips and/or wiring conduit.

- Ensure windshield wiper linkage does not contact wiring harness.
