Test 2 High Pressure Check

Fig. 5 A/C Performance Test Diagnostic Table:

1. Connect suitable High/Low pressure gauge set to service valves, if not previously connected.
2. Disconnect electrical connector to radiator cooling fans.
3. Set air distribution to footwell.
4. Set temperature control to Full Hot.
5. Set Blower to high speed (4th. position).
6. Start engine, then turn On A/C with MAX A/C button.
7. Raise engine speed to 1500 RPM, maintain during test.
8. System high pressure should rise to about 232 psi in less than 30 seconds.
9. If results are not as expected perform "Test 1" and "Test 3", then compare results with table.
