Clutch Assembly: Installation
- Lubricate release bearing sleeve with molybdenum disulphide grease. Coat operating shaft pivot points with multipurpose grease. Position release bearing to shaft and install retaining clips and springs.
- Using a clutch alignment tool match pressure plate with clutch disc. Make sure index marks are aligned. Attach and support clutch assembly.
- Tighten pressure plate bolts in a crisscross pattern 2 turns at a time. Position transaxle to engine. Make sure mainshaft splines are clean and lubricated lightly with molybdenum disulphide grease. Reverse removal procedure to complete installation.
