Measuring Value Block, Reading

After connecting the tester VAG 1551 and selecting the "Transmission electronics" program (see Repair Manual microfiche, sections D3-20 and D3-30), the measuring value block function can be read as follows:





^ read display





^ press keys 0 and 8 (this selects function 08 for reading measuring value block)

^ read display





^ press 0 key to acknowledge input

^ read display





^ press 0 key two times

^ press 0 key to acknowledge input

The ten value readouts shown correspond in order to the ten channel numbers in the chart that follows this page.

^ observe values shown on tester and compare with values in chart

^ if specified values appear in all channels press

--> key; problem has not been found using this test sequence

^ if specified values are not observed, conduct return to basic setting (see section D3-80 in Repair Manual) and follow instructions in chart for further testing to locate source of problem (see Repair Manual section D3-70 for electrical test steps)
