CONDITION

Some Fox batteries do not have the standard date code stamped in the post or on the case. There is an alpha numerical number stamped into the battery case top instead. See Fig 1 .

SERVICE

The first two digits (a) from the left represent the month and year of production of the battery. The third and fourth digits (b) represent the production day of the month. The fifth digit (c) and the sixth through ninth digits (d) are for the battery manufacturer's use only.

To determine date of battery manufacture, (month and year only) look up the first two digits of the date code (a) on the following chart.
